ARTIST STATEMENT
The driving force behind my pieces is an enduring interest in nature, the colour, the connection the resilience and the way overtime, it manifests. Adapting to the ongoing strain we as humans put on this planet.
Through expressive colour and boldly simplified or distorted forms I desire the viewer to be immersed as I attempt to draw the viewer inward to experience an encounter with the subject and the collective consciousness. Immediate and unflinching emotional extremes delivering a directness and frankness of my work, layered, abstract marks are cumulative, each revealing visceral and emotional intensities.
